Brian once again ran in the Men's Health Urbanathalon in Chicago. This year we brought Sofia along with us (last year she stayed behind with papa and ma). We had to pick up Brian's running packet on Friday at the Hard Rock Hotel in downtown Chicago so we thought we would spend the afternoon downtown. We really didn't know what we were going to do. We ended up going to the Lincoln Park Zoo. If you have not been there before it is a pretty nice zoo and it is free. Sofia really wanted to see the kangaroos and the giraffes, but we went shortly after lunch so I think all the animals were full and ready for naps. The kangaroos were all sleeping, but she did get to see the giraffes walking around. We also went to the farm at the zoo and Sofia got to feed the cows.
Stay tuned for part two tomorrow, hopefully. Our house is a mess right now because we are redoing our living room and family room floors. Driving me crazy with all the clutter, but that is a post for another day.
