Science

On Friday we had fun with science! We did several fun science experiments with items found in the kitchen. Joel had lots of fun and kept wanting to do more. We used a book, Science for Fun Experiments, to help us think of ones to do. These were all super simple and experiments we have all done when we were kids.
Above: Brian filled a jar with water and vegetable oil. We got to see the two separate.

Here we did baking soda, dish soap, and vinegar. Joel liked watching it bubble and bubble.

This was probably Joel's favorite. We put an egg in regular tap water and of course the egg sank to the bottom of the bowl, but when we put lots of salt in the water the egg floated up to the top.

Joel liked playing with the egg. So much so that the egg cracked. There is only one thing you can do with a cracked egg and that is to...

eat it!
