Sofia's little pink cast came off yesterday. She was so excited and smiled the whole time the nurse was cutting it off. The x-ray looked great and we could see where new bone had formed where her fracture was. When we got home we celebrated! The menu for the celebration kept getting longer and longer, but I told Sofia she was going to have to settle for what we originally planned. Cupcakes! Pink cupcakes!
The idea for the celebration came about last week. I asked her if she was getting excited about getting her cast off and she said she was and then told me we needed to celebrate.
It was fun having an excuse to make and eat cupcakes.
Hopefully there will be no more broken bones in our future.
