Our Little Helper in the Kitchen

The kitchen brings about so many memories for so many families.  Family recipes are kept alive from generation to generation.  There is just something about gathering in the kitchen as a family and cooking or baking together.  Our family is no exception.  Sofia loves getting on the step stool to see what we are cooking or baking up in the kitchen.  Last night was no exception.  After her bath Brian decided to make oatmeal peanut butter chocolate chip cookies.  She climbed right up the little ladder to help.  She is sneaky though.  Brian left the peanut butter right in her reach.  You can guess what she kept doing.  She was even putting the measuring spoon in the bowl to get out the peanut butter (Brian hadn't stirred the dough up yet).  Her face was covered in peanut butter by the time the whole mixing process was done.  I should have gotten a picture of her face, but I didn't.  Brian even let her 'help' crack the egg.
She is at such a fun age.  She is becoming more and more independent and she is learning to do more and more each and everyday.
